The primary objective of this project was to create the ultimate home for entertaining a large extended family. To do so, we integrated the following solutions:

  • Kitchen and eating area addition and renovation
  • Foyer addition and renovation
  • Family room addition
  • Powder room renovation
  • Living room renovation
  • Dining room renovation
  • Mud hall renovation
  • Deck addition

The kitchen design involved expanding the room to the mud hall and laundry area while incorporating a circular step and landing to improve the overall flow. The breakfast area was enlarged to accommodate more people. Floor to ceiling windows, imported European cabinetry, high-end appliances, granite countertops, and porcelain floor tiles were just some of the upscale amenities included.

The powder room was updated with imported cabinetry and upscale plumbing fixtures.

The foyer did not afford space to accommodate guests, thus it was enlarged. We integrated floor to ceiling windows, a new guest closet and raised brick front steps and landing.

A large family room was added to the rear of the home featuring complex high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. The windows enabled us to showcase the lovely back yard as an integral part of the room itself.

The living and dining rooms were updated with custom cabinets and hardwood flooring. To facilitate entertaining, a 12 foot french door and sidelight unit was incorporated to enable the owners to expand into the newly added family room when necessary.

A large deck was added and is accessible off the family and dining rooms. When necessary, the deck affords additional space for entertaining.

Under the direction of this retired General Electric professional, we strategically placed numerous recessed lights. We also utilized the most recent natural spectrum light bulbs available.

The exterior renovation involved the repair and re-staining of the cedar siding around the entire home. We also added accented corner beads to insure perfect curb appeal.

"On the remodeling of our home which included the kitchen, three bathrooms, the master bath, 2 bedrooms and an office; Ken’s attention to detail was tremendous. He thought of things that we didn’t. It was great to work with a contractor whose sole purpose was to make sure we were happy every step of the way and if we weren’t, Riviera did not fuss about making something right.

Ken’s attention to details was tremendous. I didn’t think any contractor was going to be able to satisfy my demanding spouse, but Riviera Construction did!
